Building work is hazardous, involving heights, half-built structures, dangerous materials and environments. An injured person, whether it be a worker, a friend lending a hand or child injured will stop work on site and involve legal costs and fines.
The Health and Safety Executive may prosecute and involve a legal action. Site insurance or Employers liability insurance will cover you defending any action. It will could be a criminal not civil action which means that any penalty or fine imposed is not insurable. So take your health and safety legal responsibilities seriously.
